Dayview Farms

Just outside the quiet coastal community of Waldport, Oregon. Where the forest meets the sea and the mornings start with ocean mist rolling over the pasture. 80 acres of family land rooted in tradition, hard work, and simple belief that good things take time.

Dayview Farms is more than a piece of land. It's the story of family legacy carried forward across multiple generations and now run by four siblings, each committed to honoring the past while building towards a future that they can one day pass on, just as it was passed to them.

The Ostling Story

Dayview Farms began with family-a dream, a patch of Oregon hillside, and a willingness to put in the work needed to make it thrive. Over the years, the rhythms of this place shaped the people who grew up on it.

These are the values the siblings grew up with. Values not learned from textbooks, but from doing the work.

Today, those same siblings run the farm together, each bringing different strengths to the operation: animal care, farm management, herd planning, bookkeeping, and customer connection. Every decision is guided by the same principles that have held this farm together for generations.

Raising the Farm

On our 80 acres, we currently raise 20 cows and 12 pigs, and we do so with intention-not for mass production, but for quality, health, and respect.

Our cattle spend their days on open pasture, grazing freely and growing at a natural pace. Our pigs root and roam, living as pigs were meant to live: outside, active, and well-cared for.

We believe that animals raised with good feed, space, and attention produce meat that is richer, cleaner, and more honest. There are no shortcuts in our system-just time, care and consistency.
